Developer Days 2011 was my first visit to Qt Developer Days. Without really knowing what I could expect, I registered for the training “Advanced Qt – a deep dive”. When I entered the room I was happily surprised when I saw that Jesper Pedersen was one of the presenters. Experienced from an earlier course I’ve followed from KDAB some years ago (Open enrollment), also held by Jesper, I knew I was in the right place. And indeed, once again all expectations were more than fulfilled. The training was more than just reading a presentation, it was a good combination of the necessary theory, practical use cases and a nice sense of humor which prevents you from falling asleep.

Our team was very satisfied with the five-day course given in Dublin by Matthias Kalle Dalheimer. We were a team mostly new to Qt programming, and some of whom were relatively new to C++ programming. We had a 4-day training provided by Matthias Kalle Dalheimer. The group had various levels of experience in Qtopia development, mostly very basic, if any, and with different areas of interest. The training provided a good foundation from where a beginner could improve upon using Qt documentation/examples. Good training materials were provided with assigned projects every now and then for practice. Most emphasis was on UI development. The training was very intense, but a 4-day training still seems to be a little too short. It is a very good course that can be recommended for everybody. Some people even said that this was the best training they ever had.

I have recently completed the Qt V3.0 training course given by Jesper Pedersen of Klaralvdalens Datakonsult AB.

I found the course to be excellent. It provided a good grounding in the basics of writing programs with Qt, with plenty of useful and realistic examples.
